I mentioned this last time but it's useful for my own purposes to have a separate post about it, so in case you missed it, "Miles To Go Before I Sleep," a story I co-wrote with my dear and lovely friend Joanna M. Lawrie, is available in Shelter of Daylight from Hiraeth Publishing. It's a dark fantasy story about queer identity and community, and getting eaten by a forest. Whee!

You can pick it up in PDF, ePub, and print.

The fourth and final episode of my Killer Frequency series is up for supporters on Patreon and Ko-fi, and episode three has gone public on Patreon, Ko-fi, and YouTube.

Finally, I've been sitting on this since JULY and I'm so thrilled to finally be able to share that Joanna Lawrie and I co-wrote "Miles To Go Before I Sleep," which you can now read in Shelter of Daylight from Hiraeth Publishing. It's a story about queer identity and community, and those times when a forest eats you. Many such cases! You can pick it up in PDF or hard copy.

For those new around here, Author Avengers is an initiative organised by Lou Yardley. We’re a group of authors on Ko-fi who support each other’s work, and each month we all write answers to a prompt chosen by one of us. At the end of the month, we round up everyone’s contributions and encourage anyone who stumbles on our pages to check them out as well!

This month, I set the prompt:

In the dark of night, you hear a voice: the voice you most want to hear in the world, and the one you know is impossible to be hearing again.

Here are all the creative interpretations of the prompt – everyone did an amazing job! Do check them out:

“Reflected Detour” Aradhna K

“A Voice From The Waves” Morris Wayts

“By Good Angels Tenanted” Victoria Audley (me!)

“The Christmas Village” Kelsey Clarey

“A Winternight Reunion” Lou Yardley

Thanks for reading! We’ll see you next month.
